Since 2016, during my specialization, I have dedicated myself to pain therapy at the Palliative Care and Pain Therapy Unit of AOU Careggi in Florence, gaining extensive experience in managing both chronic and acute pain.
With the goal of integrating traditional and innovative approaches, I obtained a Master in Acupuncture from the Italo-Chinese School of Bologna (AMAB), focusing on the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine for pain management and patient well-being.
After earning my specialist title in Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy, I worked as a medical executive at the Palliative Care and Pain Therapy Unit of AOUC Careggi until 2023.
I am currently a Medical Director at the UOSD of Palliative Care of ASP Ragusa, where I coordinate an Integrated Pain Therapy outpatient clinic. Here, I provide Algology treatments to oncology and non-oncology chronic pain patients, using a holistic and systemic approach that centers on the person rather than the illness.
In 2024, I further enriched my education by completing an International Master in Clinical Acupuncture at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (China). My passion for acupuncture is reflected not only in clinical practice but also in teaching and scientific dissemination, aiming to promote an integrated and personalized medicine.
